Jesus is the only one that has the power to save. "Salvation is found in no one else for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved." ( Acts 4:12) Salvation is a gift from God something given freely by him it cannot be earned. Good works cannot earn your salvation, but God's grace has saved us through faith. As stated in Ephesians 2:8-9 "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—9 not by works, so that no one can boast." We were all disobedient at a time. " For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."( Romans 3:23) Sins lead to death. "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. ( Romans 5:8) God loved us so much that he gave his only begotten son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." ( John 3:16)
SCRIPTURES ABOUT SALVATION.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.
Ephesians 1:13-14
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. John 3:16-18
For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him.
1 Thessalonians 5:9-10
For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.
Romans 1:16
HOW CAN I RECEIVE SALVATION ?
Everyone has sinned and has fallen short of the glory of God, but we have a gracious and forgiving God that will forgive us of our sins. You don't have to be perfect to come to God, but you must have faith and a heart of repentance. "I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners and need to repent." (Luke 5:32) Faith is confessing with your mouth Jesus is LORD and believing in your heart God raised Him from the dead. "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and is justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." (Romans 10:9-10)
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, I come before you in Jesus' name. I admit that I am a sinner and I ask for forgiveness. I know that I'm not perfect and that I need a Savior because I cannot save myself. I repent of my sins and put my faith in the blood that your Son Jesus Christ shed for me on Calvary, so that I may not perish, but have everlasting life. I thank you for forgiving me of my sins. I accept you into my heart today as my Savior. Thank you for your forgiveness, mercy, grace, unconditional love, and saving me. Amen.
